The staff were sometimes extremely unfriendly and sometimes very friendly.

The bathroom was renovated and clean. We managed with the single roll of toilet paper available, and we could live with the fact that no towel‑change information was provided for the two nights. The bed was comfortable, and with the help of the AI we managed to warm it up in the room. Greeting: “No room is reserved under your name.” I ran back to the adjacent gaming hall to check while filling out the registration form, only to find that it was indeed reserved… Welcome—ironically! The hallway and the staircase to the hotel gave the impression they were also the exhaust route from the snack bar and pizzeria. The surroundings featured shattered windows, a dilapidated courtyard used as a parking lot, graffiti, and noise—nighttime fireworks were detonated multiple times! I assume the authorities will investigate, or perhaps the entire city falls into “Dornröschenschlaf” every Friday at 5 pm? Breakfast consisted of roll-ups and some cold cuts—“if you split the windows in the middle, you can apparently serve more guests?” The display case held a potpourri of butter, margarine, and spreadable cheese… I think that alone warrants a failing grade. Frank Rosin would have certainly shouted and the whole thing [quote: “A catastrophe, what do you think… this isn’t going to work, I’m thinking now…"] was aborted.

I liked the comfortable room, the tasty breakfast, and the good central location.
