Located beachfront to Copacabana beach, Rio Othon Palace boasts a rooftop pool with Sugarloaf Mountain views and an on-site fitness centre. Panoramic sea views are enjoyed from the 3rd-floor breakfast area. Free WiFi is provided throughout. Air-conditioned rooms feature balconies, cable TV, and minibars, with some offering sea views and separate seating areas. Parking is available on site.

The spot and the rooftop are great. The rooms look quite old; a facelift would help, it’s clear this is an older hotel.

The location is excellent, safe, and always easy to reach. The rooftop pool is world‑class. Some staff spoke little or very poor English, mostly Portuguese. During long periods the air‑conditioning leaked heavily from the ceiling, and the bathroom seams were quite dirty.

The breakfast was really good, especially with plenty of fresh fruit and lactose‑free options. The staff were friendly, and the rooms with windows overlooking Copacabana are amazing! The facilities feel a bit old and could use a refresh.
