The hotel and its location are great, but the breakfast and the rude service at breakfast were disappointing.

“Hotel gut, Personal schulungsbedürftig!!”

The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the “Kurzentrum” (Quelle, Wandelhalle, Kurpark and water features). The room was well furnished and spacious, and the breakfast buffet usually had a good selection. However, when we arrived at 12 pm to check in, we were abruptly told we could only check in at 2 pm (a solution was later found after a phone call). We asked about the restaurant’s opening hours and procedures outside of normal hours, but were dismissed unfriendly, so we ate lunch and dinner elsewhere. By 9:30 am the breakfast buffet was already quite empty, with no rolls, sausages, or cheese left. Because the hotel sits on a slope, it is hard for people with mobility issues or older guests to climb the steep incline.

“Marienbad”

The proximity to the city center and the cleanliness are positives, but the windows and balcony mostly face the forest, and the restaurant kitchen below the balcony pulls cooking smells into the apartment. Breakfast was good, yet the organization varied depending on which staff member was present and could use improvement.
