Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Mason City - Clear Lake

“Great stay for my purpose”

The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city, but be aware that the street is one way, which can be a bit of a challenge when trying to navigate. Overall, the location makes up for the minor inconvenience.

“If you're in-town on a budget for a one-two night stay, this is a decent option”

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and accommodating staff at this hotel. They really went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was a highlight - they had a decent selection of hot options and didn't cut off the buffet at the usual 9am time, so I was able to grab a few extra bits and bobs when they stopped refilling.

I've stayed at this place a few times and it's always been my go-to spot, but this time around, I was a bit put off by the high police presence in the area. Still, the location and comfort make it worth coming back to.

The Econo Lodge really stands out for its cleanliness – the staff does a fantastic job of keeping the rooms spotless and checking in regularly to see if you need anything. It's become my go-to place when I need a quick and hassle-free stay.

The hotel's location and price are major selling points, but I did notice that the surrounding area could use a bit of organization – it feels a bit cluttered and disorganized. Still, for the price, it's a great value.
