The location is very good! The kitchen was small but complete, making it hard to cook or prepare meals at home.

The place is in a convenient spot and the host responded quickly; if you’re hunting for a cheaper option in Manhattan and don’t mind a bit of mess, it’s a passable choice. We booked a room with a “private” bathroom, yet it’s accessed through a shared area, so it never felt truly private even though the owner assured us guests were told not to enter. The bathroom itself is tiny. The overall cleanliness was disappointing: the room smelled oddly damp, probably because it’s underground, and the cleaning crew tried to mask it with a plug‑in air refresher that irritated our senses. Flies were rampant—over four nights we killed about 30, yet many still survived. The floor was dusty and greasy. Also, the address listed on Booking is a block away from the actual location; the owner sends the correct address in the check‑in instructions, so double‑check to avoid confusion.

The décor and furniture are cool, the TV is awesome, and everything matches the description. The hosts are helpful and kind, and I’d definitely recommend the place, especially given its price and nice location.
