Vila Rita Hostel Arraial d'Ajuda

Rita greeted me right away and it set a great tone for the whole trip. The hostel is tucked right at the forest edge with a stunning sea view, spotless rooms, a comfy bed and a kitchen that has everything you need. It’s just a short walk to the historic centre and a quick descent from the Mirante das Fitas to Praia dos Pescadores – the quietest beach I’ve been to. I’m already thinking about coming back.

The price was spot‑on for what you get, and the spot couldn’t be better – right in the heart of everything. Everything you need is within walking distance, making it easy to explore without spending a fortune on transport.

“Superou minhas expectativas a vista é linda!”

The spot has a view that even beats the Mirante das Fitinhas, and it’s super close to all the main sights in Arraial d’Ajuda. Breakfast was fantastic and Rita was a genuinely kind host. The only hiccup was the clothesline – it gets cramped when a lot of guests are drying stuff, but it still came in handy for my wet swimwear.

“Excelente opção de estadia em Arraial d'Ajuda”

The hostel feels cozy, offers a sea view and is close to the church, little shops and restaurants, plus Rita’s warm welcome made it feel like home. One night a few mosquitoes got on my skin, but the staff dealt with it right away.
