The camp site was spotless and well-maintained
We loved the location of this place, which was nestled in an old railway site that offered great protection from the elements.
We had a great experience with the manager and bar staff, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The staff were friendly and the accommodation was clean, and the setting was lovely, yet there was no hot water for the shower—an issue also flagged in a review on 2 May 2026 that remained unresolved, making showering in cold water unpleasant, especially in winter, and the promised electric blankets were still absent.

However, the kitchen facilities for the tented camp were a letdown - dirty dishcloths and no cleaning soap made it hard to do our own laundry. The cleaning staff could also be more friendly and helpful.
