Holiday Inn Express San Antonio Downtown

“It wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had in a hotel.”

It’s far enough from all the downtown stuff but close enough that I can walk to places; the price was a bit high and it felt like an older Holiday Inn.

“Air conditioning could improve, otherwise all is good.”

The price was very reasonable, but the air‑conditioning system didn’t seem to work properly; the fan created too much humidity in the room.

The facilities were clean and very spacious, but there was a lack of bilingual staff.

The bed was very comfortable and the reception staff were super nice and helpful, and there was a fridge in the room. However, the room smelled, had stains everywhere—on the carpet, some walls, the bath, and one towel looked unwashed. The AC woke me up several times a night, and the pipes were loud enough to rouse me a few more times. The furniture was old and poorly maintained, and there was only a bedside lamp in the bedroom, making it hard to do anything else besides sleep. The Wi‑Fi connection was very weak, and breakfast used paper plates, plastic cups, and utensils, producing a lot of trash.

“Stay was pretty good”

It was clean. quiet. perfect to sleep. Check in took some time… front desk stayed on the phone while we waited for 10 minutes. Same at check out. No one was at the desk. Loaded car came back and still waited for someone
