Chalé Por do Sol

Clean, pretty, new. We arrived at night. It’s in a rural area, in the middle of nowhere, with no clear indication of where it is, and it could be unsafe.

“Trompé de lieu”

Spacious room with a large garden and a nice view. The host is responsive, very kind, and the neighbor is too! Two waterfalls nearby where you can swim. Covered garage for the car. I got it wrong thinking I was in a small town; the chalet is in Chapada and most shops and restaurants close during the week. The power flickers regularly (it’s the countryside) and there’s no network. The roof is tin, so you hear a lot of noise when it rains. An extra 80 RS for a pet.

Facilities and view of the chalet. Near Lavras Novas. The room cleanliness and bed linens need improvement.

“Uma estadia tranquila e agradável, em um chalé charmoso, com bela vista e ótima localização para conhecer as belezas da”

The chalet has a special charm and a beautiful view of the mountains and sunset — perfect for an afternoon coffee. The internet is excellent, and the location is great: it’s in a very pleasant little town, close to waterfalls and easy access to Lavras Novas and Ouro Preto. The road, very charming, is a ride in itself. The chalet was clean and organized. I only missed a few everyday items like a soap dish and toothbrush holder in the bathroom, but nothing that compromised the stay.

The view. The mattress.
