The location was fine and we had one meal in the dining room that was good. When I went to get breakfast both mornings of our stay, all the ordinary milk was gone and most of the cereal was missing, which was disappointing since the hotel offered a kitchenette. We were in room 5 and it was pretty minimal for our $150 per night charge – the beds were comfortable but we had no chair to sit on, nothing to put clothes on, and there was no adequate shelf directly beside the basin. I saw other rooms with their doors open during my stay and most had a wardrobe, a chair, and some bench space to put things on – and some had a lamp as well as the main light. The main light in our room was nearly inadequate for actually reading. It was a shame that you had no provision for people to sit in another space, like a lounge; the other hotel in town has that provision.

I loved the old country pub vibe and the location was perfect.

The price was good and the spot was perfect for catching a local concert, and the balcony on the second floor made for a nice place to eat and sip a drink. But the beds were awful – you could feel every spring – and the noise from old pipes or a generator kept us up early in the morning.
