“Peace, kind welcoming, clean and delicious: The best kind of Stay”

Casa 1880 made me leave La Paz already thinking about when I could return, and the entire staff was genuinely welcoming—kind, down‑to‑earth, and eager to help, which made the whole stay feel remarkably easy. Alejandro, Diana, Daniel, and Ricardo stood out, but they represented a team that consistently made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. They handled all arrangements smoothly, from airport pickup to a late arrival, with prompt and clear communication and quick, gracious responses to any issues. A few small hiccups occurred, as they do, but the staff addressed them immediately and sincerely, so nothing ever felt like a problem. The hotel itself has a lot of character; it’s a converted older building that feels more like a boutique hotel than a standardized property, and I enjoyed that. The rooms have their own personalities, with different themes, artwork, and details that give the hotel a sense of history and charm. Our room was impeccably clean and was cleaned thoroughly every day. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the restaurant, eating there almost every day for lunch and dinner, not just the included breakfast. The food was consistently delicious and beautifully presented, making the restaurant an easy choice throughout the trip. The location was another plus: the hotel is within walking distance of the Malecón, La Paz’s waterfront promenade, as well as the cathedral, shops, restaurants, and other attractions, and it took us roughly 15 minutes to walk to the main area. The only thing I would have liked was slightly stronger water pressure in the shower, but that was a very minor issue and there was always plenty of hot water, so it did not detract from my stay.

The pool area was stunning, the room was spotless, and the breakfast was good—exactly the kind of spot I wanted to stay at.
