Dinner and breakfast were both very satisfying. The view from the bathroom was also great. I’d like to stay again in the future.

The price was cheap. However, insects appeared, and I could hear sounds from the surroundings.

The view from the bath was nice. I stayed multiple nights, but like a regular hotel, they should have refreshed the sheets, towels, bath towels and cups each day, returning the room to its original condition; if changing sheets is too costly, that part could be excused.

The onsen was amazing, the bed was super comfortable, and even though it was a long walk from town, a short taxi ride made it very convenient. The host was very sweet and accommodating. 10/10, would stay again. Nothing negative.

The property sits in a remote spot, but being surrounded by nature creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms feel like a traditional ryokan and the whole house is charming and homey. The host is absolutely incredible—very hospitable and extremely kind, speaking enough English for us to communicate despite us knowing no Japanese. We booked with dinner and breakfast included, and both were delivious. After a long hike, it was exactly what we needed, and the host generously offered us a second helping, even though he already served us so much food, especially for dinner. The onsen itself is amazing, relaxing, fits two people, and offers a great view of nature. The location is a long uphill walk from the train station (some parts have no sidewalk), which we did on our way there, but it was absolutely worth it once we arrived, and the host kindly gave us a ride back to Tobu Nikko station in the morning. Would definitely stay again!
