“Would probably not stay here again unless I absolutely had to. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.”

It was clean, good value, and right off the interstate. We were assigned to the wrong room: we had booked two sofa beds and one king bed, but first we were put in a room with only one sofa bed. After we were moved, the phone stopped working, the smoke alarm kept beeping, and the front desk said they couldn’t do anything except move us again and hope the next alarm would work. The sofa beds were very uncomfortable, and breakfast was only cereal because the cook was out for the day. The guy at the front seemed to have an attitude whenever we made any requests, even though our experience was already pretty unpleasant. The walls were full of bad patch‑work.

“Would not stay there again.”

The refrigerator had a separate freezer door, but outside was unkept with many cats running around the building. Trash was everywhere, the bins were full and overflowing. Breakfast was very limited: no juices, no pastries or bagels, no fresh fruit, only scrambled eggs.

I stayed at a small town hotel that let my dogs roam freely and even spotted deer in the vicinity. The dining options were plenty, with highlights like the Pit Stop BBQ and the honeybee cafe. Walking along the river gave my husky a great chance to explore and get exercise. On the downside, the check‑in staff appeared annoyed, and I discovered there was no ice machine and the pool was closed. The pool closure didn’t bother us much because we had heavy rains during our stay. I also had to ask for extra towels, and I suspect the storms were affecting the local cable provider.
