The Cumberland, London

The hotel's location is its most attractive feature. It's very close to the main London attractions. Close to Hop-on Hop-off bus stops. Right next to Oxford Street. Excellent breakfast service. The reception area is always crowded. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected. In-room dining service has limited hours of operation

Did a three-day getaway to London with two teenagers. Very good hotel all around - the larger twin room with an extra bed accommodated three persons very well and was actually big by London standards; everything inside the hotel is new, well maintained, and clean; the breakfast was very good; and the location excellent for shopping, musicals, etc. Interestingly, unlike most London hotels, Generally, the Cumberland is a large hotel with a resort feel to it, and is themed around music. Not sure why exactly but it somehow reminded me of the Disney resorts we've been to, with Central London as the theme park. Nothing really

I loved the location of the hotel. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel, and I would not stay here again because of it. The towels had an unpleasant smell, and the room was dirty, with signs that it had not been properly cleaned after the previous guests. To make matters worse, when I asked for water at checkout, I was told to buy it myself. The lack of cleanliness and poor service made this a very disappointing experience
