“Un paradis nuancé”

The setting in the mangrove is paradisiacal and exceptional, especially the huge wooden jetty that leads to a lounge overlooking the water at high tide. The local staff are very friendly and attentive. I strongly advise against renting the bungalows; ours was infested with animals, but after a rough first night the staff moved us to a much better room. The restaurant is not bad, but it’s extremely pricey with incomprehensible pricing – for example, breakfast costs ten euros per person regardless of the choice. The European owners’ welcome was very cold, as they never bother to greet guests even in the restaurant. The scenery is enchanting but very far from the tarmac.

“Not quite what we expected”

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and we’d certainly give them a very high rating. Still, the hotel fell short of the photos and our expectations, with facilities that feel a bit dated, a bathroom that needs work, and bed linen and towels that aren’t up to par; at €110 per night without breakfast it was one of the priciest places we’ve stayed at in Nosy Be, and the restaurant’s tiny portions came with steep prices—a bottle of water cost 15,000 Ariary. On top of that, the beach was littered with seaweed during our visit.

“Bon établissement familial”

The place is in a great spot, right next to Andilana which you can walk to, and the view of a bay framed by two mangroves is stunning. There’s a pool, which is nice because swimming in the bay isn’t really an option. The staff on site are fantastic—friendly and quick to help when needed. However, two of us are allergic to pet dander, so it was annoying to see cats and dogs in the dining area, especially when we caught a club diver feeding them, while the restaurant team tried hard to keep us away.

“Wonderful relaxing week!!”

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I loved how peaceful and tranquil the lodge felt. Every transfer and excursion was well organized and on time.
