A very cool spot with great German and Thai food, served by staff in Dirndl, and the rooms were well equipped.

The beach and walking street are nearby, and the room had two water bottles in the fridge and a good air‑con, but the hotel itself was scorching; I stayed two nights and the room wasn’t cleaned, the shower had rust in several spots, and the outlet next to the bed didn’t work properly.

We liked the location near Bangla Road and the low price, especially since we left our suitcases at the hotel while we went on a two‑day tour, but the experience was terrible: the sheets were dirty and the duvet cover had a hole when we arrived, a note to clean was left the next morning but the bedding was never changed, tiny bugs that looked like aphids ran across the bed after we returned, the room smelled bad, the shower ceiling was covered in mold, a huge cockroach lay in the corridor and dry larvae were on the walls, and the towels were filthy, so we checked out early because staying another night felt unsafe and unpleasant.

The restaurant downstairs is convenient, the beach is close, and it’s quiet despite being in a tourist area.
