“Old hotel, but close to the airport”

The hotel is near the airport and parking is free. The neighbourhood is bad, almost scary, especially if you arrive at night. It sits above a casino. The hotel feels very basic and dated, like a “$5 a room” vibe, yet you expect to pay $170. The price/quality ratio is terrible.

Close to the airport and check‑in was quick. The restaurant and pub in the same building were good. The guy at the front desk in the bottle shop could have been more helpful; he watched us struggle with the baby and all our stuff but didn’t mention that that’s where you check in to the hotel. A taxi from the airport cost $60 for 3 km!!! Be careful! He said he tipped himself $10. Not sure if that’s legal. We had already paid so couldn’t really dispute it. We were late at night and the baby was crying.
