Even though it’s cheap, the air‑conditioning is comfortable, the Wi‑Fi is ultra‑fast, there’s a fridge, dinner is made extra, breakfast is tasty, the family welcomes you warmly, the island vibe is great, you can walk 10 minutes to the ruins, and a boat costs 15 EGP one way—no long wait to cross the river. The shower didn’t produce hot water, but it wasn’t cold either and the outside temperature was high enough to avoid a problem; the room was clean but had a slightly odd smell.

The family was really friendly, they helped us a lot and the cooking was very nice!!

I enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by nature and the magic of Elefantina Island, but getting to the bathroom meant walking through the restaurant tables, which was awkward when the restaurant was full, and there was no hook in the room to hang clothes.

The host was lovely, the breakfast was amazing, and the optional dinner (also amazing, best lentil soup we had in Egypt) was a highlight; the sitting area was fun, the beds were comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was good, and the Wi‑Fi was very good – we didn’t want to leave. There was nothing negative.
