Gasthof & Restaurant "Am Kreuz"

Our spacious room had been freshly renovated and was simply furnished with everything needed, plus a small table with two chairs; the small vestibule made it very quiet, so we heard nothing from the ground‑floor restaurant. Driving to Zeche Zollverein was cheap, which we wanted to visit. The only drawbacks were the lack of an elevator and no breakfast, but staff helped us with our luggage when we arrived.

“Molto carino: consigliato!”

Convenient for the Ruhr area, the staff were very friendly and the restaurant food was great! It gets a bit noisy at night because it’s close to a major intersection, but closing the windows and curtains was enough.

Booked without breakfast, the hosts were very friendly, everything was hassle‑free, the gear was a bit antique but spotless: I slept like a dream!
