“Pleasant place to stay, however surprise extra cost for AC”
The room was tidy and comfy, and the balcony offered a nice, private view. The location was quiet, near the lake, and still close to many restaurants. However, the kitchen was very basic and missing a fridge and cooking appliances. Although the deluxe double balcony room advertised air conditioning, we were told to pay a hefty fee to use it—apparently we had booked a non‑AC room, but there was no AC/non‑AC option when we booked, which caused confusion. After back‑and‑forth with staff and the owner, we tried to negotiate a fair price because it was a miscommunication, but they wouldn’t budge. The whole situation made us feel slightly unwelcome and uncomfortable, even though we had evidence to back our claim, which was disappointing because otherwise the stay would have been great.
