The traditional Japanese atmosphere—tatami floor, futons on the floor—was a refreshing change; you should try it. The onsen was nice. However, the toilets and showers were shared by all rooms on the floor, which some family members didn’t like. There was no refrigerator in the room, and some found the futon beds inconvenient.

The owner was courteous. It rained all day, so there was no starry sky to see and nothing to do.

Sulfur hot spring, the innkeeper was enthusiastic. There was no kitchen, and nearby dinner options were limited.

A very friendly welcome, the accommodation is high‑quality in the mountains, nicely positioned between Matsumoto and Kamikochi. The private onsen was pleasant with very hot water, and the room was huge.
