The place sits nicely in the heart of Thamel, and the yoga studio next door is great— I could practice there between sessions for a small fee. However, during the monsoon the solar hot water only worked on 3 of the 15 days, it wasn’t cold but definitely not hot, and the boiler only turns on in September. The Wi‑Fi was weak except on the ground floor.

The hotel sits perfectly in Thamel, the staff are truly welcoming, and the food is very good.

This is the second time we’re in Nepal and we always stop at this hotel, before and after trekking— it’s very good! Prices are fair, rooms are pleasant, and the location is ideal. On occasion the hot water is temperamental, but the staff are always ready to help.
