We had a good experience at Weligama Ocean Breeze; the hotel sits close to the beach and our room featured a lovely balcony, the air conditioning worked well, and even though we were near the main road, traffic noise was almost unheard of. Still, given the price we paid in the off‑season, we expected slightly better facilities and a few more comforts; although a kettle was provided, there were no tea or coffee supplies, the water pressure was a bit low, and the showerhead could have been better; breakfast could also have been improved by adding more protein options, such as sausages to the Western breakfast or chicken curry to the Sri Lankan breakfast.

The location, the staff, and the breakfast were all good, but the property needs more maintenance and cleaning, and the price is high for low season.

Right on the beach, everything feels modern and spotless, including the pool, and the staff are wonderfully kind and helpful.
