“Katastrophal, nie wieder!”

The room was extremely dirty and broken: the sheet was torn and too small for the bed, the mattress had weird brown spots, there were stray hairs everywhere, it was very dusty, the bathroom stank, there was mold in the shower, the toilet was wobbly, water pooled in the sink and shower, it dripped from the sink pipes, the chair had many differently colored stains, the glass (for a double room) was dirty, and through the thin plaster walls you could hear neighbors snoring. We moved to another hotel the next morning without getting a refund.

“Kurzurlaub im Pionier Hotel Hamburg”

The hotel was reasonably priced for Hamburg standards, well‑located near a bus stop with good bus and train connections. However, it was dirty: there was grime under the bed and in the wardrobe, and the area was wiped around. The bathroom had an old, rusty shelf. Compared to other hotels where we’d paid less but included breakfast, this was cheaper, but still subpar. The hallway had an old, shabby, broken carpet. There was no trash bin in the room, only a small cosmetics bin in the bathroom. On the desk was a hotel information sheet; the paper was crumpled and the envelope was torn, so everything was just the bare minimum.

The departure was fine. The rest was unsatisfactory.

The view was nice. The hotel left a very unpleasant impression: the microwave didn’t work, the towels were torn, the hair dryer didn’t work, many door handles were broken, and the dishes were dirty. The water pressure was very weak. We stayed 4 days, and during all that time no one ever came to clean the room. Overall it feels like the room condition and service quality are not monitored at all. We’re very disappointed and do not recommend this hotel. This room was booked, and the owners of other rooms in the hotel do not meet the same standards!!!

“The worst hotel I have ever been specially in Germany Hamburg”

Nothing positive. The receptionist was rude, couldn’t speak English, and was never present; I saw him only once.
