Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Amarillo West

“Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and I have been trying to speak to somebody about this.”

It was handy to be right off the freeway with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. When we got there, we were really confused because we had booked the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Amarillo West, but the property had apparently switched to City Express by Marriott without any notice. It took a while to realize we were at the right hotel. The room was visibly dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The TV and Wi‑Fi didn’t work, and the front desk only said the “TV is blocked,” offering no help. When we tried to sleep, a German cockroach crawled up the wall. I took photos of the room, the cockroach, and everything else that happened.

“Every thing and everyone in staff were friendly and helpful.”

Breakfast was tasty and the staff member serving it was fun to talk to. Keep up the great service and cleanliness; I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The staff were very helpful when we were getting into our car during the drive.

“Meets the needs”

The location was great, and the breakfast was small but filling. Crickets were everywhere; I had to kill four of them in the room.
