The property is lovely, but when we checked in we were told it would close permanently a couple of weeks later, which was sad. It would be an ideal Best Western Premier boutique, though it needs some cosmetic work and a bit of money spent on it, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. No other place like it could be found in the Aberystwyth area.

After many years at Nanteos, I can say the house remains wonderful, its historic charm still spot‑on, and the pastoral surroundings are unrivaled; the staff truly love the building and its past.

The staff were friendly and the historic location was great, but I had to reschedule my stay because Nanteos Mansion was closing permanently, and I was unhappy about the £25 extra charge for moving to earlier dates.
