The room with the jacuzzi was perfect, dinner was excellent, and the staff were great throughout our stay, always smiling and generous; in the morning we baked bread with the legendary hotel baker, which was a nice experience, and breakfast was wonderful—staying there was fun.

We liked the reception at arrival with a welcome drink and the location near a village at the foot of the Douro River, plus fresh‑baked bread at breakfast; it was a hot weekend and the air‑conditioning didn’t cool enough.

A small hotel where everything is tidy, you feel everything is arranged for a good stay, from the room to the reception, everything is in place, the bedding is exceptional, and the place is very peaceful; there is no parking in this tiny village cut by alleys, and the spots are expensive.
