I loved this place overall. It was stunning, right on the river but close to the beach. There’s a very friendly café next door with lovely views over the river and mountains. One of my favourite places to relax and unwind. A loud generator outside my room made it hard to sleep. We had to cross the river to get to the main part of Klong Prao. It was easy to do but meant you’re always wet (lucky we had a dry bag with us!)

I had a bungalow by the shore, surrounded by a mangrove grove, and every morning there was an extraordinary bird concert. What else is needed? A beautiful holiday spot in Ko Chang. Not particularly.
