Very comfortable and clean, in an excellent location, and the evening meal was excellent.

The stay was fine, though we did not have breakfast. Free parking was available.

“Great location, beautiful historic building but in need of some TLC and bringing up to standard.”

The location was good, but the room needs refurbishment, breakfast is too expensive, and parking incurs an extra charge.

The breakfast was tasty, with a wide buffet and a Full English on request. The staff were pleasant and parking was decent (paid) in the back lot. The hotel sits on the main street toward the castle. We paid a £50 deposit and were told it would be refunded once the room was left tidy, but we’re still waiting for the refund.

“Great location, decent accessibilit, mixed service.”

The spot was spot on, parking a little cramped but still handy. Breakfast was okay, not spectacular but solid. A few staff members seemed almost annoyed to have guests, not outright rude but not particularly friendly either. The breakfast service varied: one person was great, another seemed almost careless. The mattress felt a bit firm for me, though my wife liked it. The bathtub leaked and the plug didn’t seal properly.
