I couldn’t connect to the internet and the TV was completely broken, so I had no TV at all during my stay. Breakfast was just a pot of Quaker’s porridge.

“I could have chosen much better.”

The location was fine and the female staff were very helpful, but the place was dirty and shabby everywhere. The paint on the walls and doors felt off, there were strange odors, dust and cobwebs everywhere, and the curtains and blinds were dirty and broken. I had to dodge a bunch of rude drunks and a cloud of smoke from smokers crowding the entrance. I should have read the reviews before booking, but I didn’t, and I wish I had because they say it all. The included breakfast was a sour green apple and a paper pot of porridge that had to be left in a bag outside the room; it didn’t mix well in boiling water and was full of hard lumps, so I left it along with the apple. I’ve booked four other accommodations for the Liverpool to Leeds canal at the same price and they were all outstanding, which makes this place even more disappointing and a waste of money. The canal towpath is excellent, and the girls and the bar were lovely.

“😡😡😡😡”

There was nothing good about this stay; it was absolutely filthy. They claim breakfast is included, but it was just a brown bag left outside your bedroom door with an apple and a pot of Quaker oats, which was mortifying. I wouldn’t have eaten anything from here. To anyone considering booking, don’t be fooled by the pictures – it’s really bad and I couldn’t wait to leave. I didn’t like anything about this stay. The girl who let us in seemed a bit embarrassed; she didn’t want to show us our room and just told us to go. I should have taken pictures, but I just wanted to get out of there.

“Dirty dust spider web”

The rooms had a lot of dust, the towels looked dirty, the pillowcases weren’t changed, and the toilet water was on the floor. Doors had dust and spider webs; they really need to clean.
