“Napoli ... una bellezza autentica ma trasandata”

The photos made us expect more, so the first impression when entering the building was disappointing. It’s falling apart like many buildings in Naples. The rooms are simple, clean, and have a view. It’s very close to the metro station and the Sanità neighborhood, which we loved. Host Gianluca was very friendly and helpful! However, we found dirt and garbage in front of the building’s entrance. Residents should take better care, perhaps on a rotating basis.

The apartment is sweet, pleasant, and well maintained. The building’s entrance can feel stressful at first, but after the first time you get used to it.

“Napoli a piedi, con gusto”

The location is amazing, and the historic center is reachable by a lovely walk. The view is spectacular, the room is very spacious, clean, and bright. The owner took the time to suggest visits, itineraries, and several places to eat. We’ll definitely come back! To make the already high comfort level even better, a couple of extra chairs or a few shelves in the wardrobe could help hold small items.

The view, facilities, and elevator (10 cents, they helped) were impressive, and the building itself dates back to the 16th century; the paid parking can be booked for 30 euros a day (the lot is tidy and not chaotic), and the famous pizza spot Starita is right next door. The downside is that the paid parking is on the lower level, so pulling luggage up a steep hill is tough, although coming down is easier.
