“Un havre de paix dans le vieux Zagreb”

A private hotel just steps from the main street of bars and restaurants in old Zagreb, perched on the heights. Quiet, clean, and spacious rooms… breakfast with fresh products, all prepared that very morning. A real treat, far from the usual hotel breakfasts. Everything seemed made for us with a lot of care. The staff’s welcome and friendliness were impeccable; you feel at home. A great value for the price. No complaints.

“Énorme déception !”

I couldn’t even bring myself to step inside because the location and neighbourhood – a rundown house – left me completely disappointed. The property sits atop a hill in a suburban villa area, far from Zagreb’s centre as the listing claimed, so it didn’t meet my expectation of being near the lively streets and shops. I asked for a refund for the second night due to this misrepresentation, but the owners refused and kept the payment for both nights. In short, avoid this place if you want a city‑centre stay; you’ll find far nicer hotels for the same price in the heart of Zagreb.

“Excelente”

The hotel is in a very good spot on the upper part of Zagreb, just a 10‑minute walk from Ban Josip Jelacic Square (the main square). The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is good. Nothing to complain about.
