“Quaint, cozy stay.”

The staff were incredibly kind, the room very comfortable, and the service and location excellent; we’ll definitely return. More breakfast options would be nice.

Stairs, low beams and uneven floors might challenge some, but that’s expected of a 14th‑century inn. It’s full of character yet equipped with modern facilities. The staff were welcoming and the food excellent—nothing to dislike.

“Good. The historic building has great character, though you need to watch out for steps everywhere”

The small double room was pleasant, with plenty of storage and a comfortable chair, and everything worked. It was far enough from the restaurant and bar to stay quiet. The bed was made with the duvet reaching the top of the mattress, likely to display the pretty but unnecessary cushions; it was too high and too tightly tucked at the bottom, so I couldn’t re‑make it and had to fold the top back, making it uncomfortably warm on a mild night. The extractor fan in the en suite seemed underpowered, giving a slight whiff when I arrived.

“Would stay again no problem made to feel really welcome”

I was blown away by the room – everything I needed was there, and breakfast was hot, freshly made, and delicious. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly, though they couldn't help with everything. We had two meat dishes in the evening and I couldn’t find any fault with them.
