It was large, clean, and comfortable! We visited Karpenisi on a cold autumn day. When I asked about heating, I was told we were very cold. We turned on the fireplace as instructed, but there was still dampness in the middle of the rooms. I was disappointed when in the morning we were asked again if we were cold, and we heard that we were still cold.

Quiet location, nice common room, room furnishings are okay. Communication is a bit difficult if you don’t speak Greek. The common kitchen mentioned in the description is actually not there, but we were allowed to use the stove. Breakfast was not offered to us, even though we were the only guests.
