The room felt clean and I could stay cheaply, but the reception felt a little cold.

“Regular”

The hotel had a great spot right in front of a bus stop and a train station a few minutes’ walk away, with a supermarket just a few meters away; the staff were friendly and attentive, and there were washers, dryers, and a gender‑separated onsen. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the sink looked like a plastic cubicle, and the tap only supplied hot water; breakfast was sparse and unvaried, the atmosphere was noisy at 7 am with loud music, the onsen was off‑limits for tattooed guests, and messages sent via the booking platform were ignored even after two attempts.

“Convenient location, value for money. Artificial Hot spa is an advantage.”

1. Convenient location. 2. Near to everything, thanks to Japan excellent public transportation. 3. Near to kyoto train station, means you are in the heart of kyoto. 4. Nearby japanese restaurants like yoshinoya , Convenience stores like 7/11, makes your stay very comfortable. Actually it's better not to include breakfast in the reservation . 5. Artificial onsen or hot spa is a great advantage, it's very nice experience, but you should do like Japanese do !!. 6. The staff are very helpful, polite but you need to know some Japanese language otherwise it would be difficult to communicate. The room is small, but in Japan, this is normal

The staff were friendly, yet I didn't get an open-air bath.

Breakfast was tasty and the hot spring was relaxing, but the station is a bit of a walk away.
