“Very nice place!”

Fantastic place in the heart of the old Dana village. The hotel owner offered a room upgrade: we had the view at 360 on the tower. Food is very good both dinner and breakfast. Very welcoming and engaging people!. /

Cała wioska i gospodarze hotelu są bardzo gościnni i pomocni i choćby dlatego warto spędzić czas w dana . Trochę słaby prysznic . Psy szczekają pół nocy co nie jest wina hotelu , ale mimo wszystko trudno się wyspać

“Eccezionale. Una favola”

I had an unforgettable night in the village, sleeping on a carpet‑covered main room that felt colorful and super cozy. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly and calm, giving me a sense of serenity that lasted the whole evening. I learned a lot in just one night and on a trek led by Ahmad, which was absolutely phenomenal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful experience. Carolina and Simone. The room was a bit cold in December, but the blankets were very warm and available.

“Relaxing, adventurous stay at a lovely, friendly location.”

Staying at Family Home Lodge in Dana Biosphere turned out to be a fantastic experience. Hazem, the owner, shared his deep knowledge of the area and was very friendly, adding depth to our visit. He organized a three‑hour sunset hike on the Wadi Guhweir Trail, one of the highlights of our trip. The breakfast buffet was tasty and satisfying, and we especially enjoyed the optional home‑cooked local dinner buffet for just 8 JOD per person, which felt authentic and welcoming. The rooms are clean and basic, providing everything needed for a comfortable night’s rest. Keep in mind that this place is in the middle of nowhere in Jordan, so don’t expect five‑star facilities, but you won’t be disappointed. The lodge’s location gives fantastic access to local hiking trails, making it a perfect base for exploring Dana’s natural beauty. The staff were warm and attentive throughout, and the easy parking added convenience. Overall, Family Home Lodge is a great choice for travelers seeking genuine hospitality, good food, and unbeatable access to the Dana Biosphere.

It was definitely a positive experience on our Jordan trip! The accommodation in the tiny ruin town of Dana is the most unique. The village is being rebuilt stone by stone. If you’re looking for western‑style comfort, you’re probably out of luck, but the residents are the warmest and most relaxed. At breakfast and dinner you meet all the tourists staying in the village, and afterward you can enjoy a shisha! There are several local tours available.
