The room was neat and tidy, but only two single beds were available.

It felt like a typical English pub and the food was excellent, but they claim free parking – which is true – yet only four cars can park in front of the pub, and this space is open to anyone visiting, not just residents; we stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned between stays.

The staff were friendly and the location was convenient, but the room felt very dated and in need of a makeover. The bed was old and uncomfortable, lacking a headboard which I would have expected as a standard item. The kettle in the room was already in the bin and a new one needed to be bought – I wouldn't brew anything in it. The website didn't mention that food wasn't available on Monday or Tuesday evenings, which added to my disappointment. I’ll add this place to my list of places I won’t visit again.

The Uber Eats delivery was fine and arrived on time, especially since the restaurant was closed. The hostel‑style accommodation looked better in the pictures than it actually was.
