StayStay Guesthouse I 24 Hours Check-In

Checking in was easy, but parking was very tight and hard to find a spot. The room was not in the best condition and the shower was gross. The shower doors didn’t block the water properly, so it leaked onto the floor. No ventilation meant the steam from the shower made everything damp. Previous water damage on all the tiles showed that the shower screen had been a persistent issue.

“Good place for a pit stop.”

Checking in was easy, the place was near the highway, and it was clean. The neighborhood wasn't the nicest, our door had swollen from moisture and was very hard to open, and the lights by our bed didn't work.

The location was good, close to the route, and reasonably clean. There were many toilets on the corridor of each floor. The rubber floor was moving and a bit falling apart, the blinds were dirty and moldy, and the cascade shower was damaged and too low because the rubber strap wouldn't hold when pulled out. My boyfriend's head was higher than the highest point of the shower, ending somewhere around the middle of his face; the cascade seemed only suitable for people no taller than about 170 cm. There was no staff, no phone contact for problems, and messages sent through the booking platform were unclear and inadequate. When I wrote in English, replies were in German, which was a bit absurd. Another issue was the lack of access to a shared kitchen; the room supposedly had a kettle and microwave, but there were no mugs, plates, or cutlery, so how could one use the appliances to prepare food? That was absurd. A major minus was the errors and problems with the reservation. I booked a room and was supposed to choose between two single beds or one large double. During booking we specified one large bed, but upon arrival and payment at the machine it turned out there were two single beds and I couldn't contact anyone from the staff.

The self‑check‑in was straightforward and quick, and the room was small but comfortable with a nice shower. The only downside was that the toilets were shared on each floor, though at least the place wasn't busy.

The self‑check‑in at the kiosk was great. The room was a good size and had its own shower/toilet, free water, and a personal kettle. However, the room was not very clean this time; the shower had been leaking for months, a towel was dirty, and the walls had seen better days.
