“Sehr schönes Gasthof zum Uebernachten auf dem Land nähe Genf. Gerne wieder”

The hotel is very beautiful, the rooms are like new; the breakfast on the terrace with mountain and cow views was wonderful, and the staff were very friendly and attentive, but cooling was only possible with open windows and a fan, which was hot during the summer.

“Precioso lugar , nunca en verano”

The hotel pays close attention to detail, keeping the place clean and serving excellent food, especially dinner. However, there is no air conditioning, so the heat was unbearable—something that would deter anyone from returning during hot weather, especially if you’re from Spain or another country used to AC. The staff seem to endure it stoically, but for us it was terrible. There’s also no refrigerator in the room. Aside from that, everything else was fine.

“Fein Essen - grossartig Schlafen!”

Staying at the Auberge de la Croix‑Blanche felt like a gentle escape from the outside world; from the moment we entered our room we sensed a special, almost silent generosity: large, bright, wonderfully spacious, and impeccably clean, making us feel instantly comfortable. The calm was profound and soothing, carried by the gentle clink of cowbells that sounded like a small song from the surrounding meadows. It was a place where you naturally breathe slower. In the evening we chose the surprise menu, which turned into a little feast for the senses. Every plate was beautifully presented, with an elegance that never felt forced but came from genuine joy in cooking. The flavors were harmonious, clear, warm—so finely balanced that we kept looking at each other and simply smiling. It tasted amazing, a lasting pleasure. The wine pairing was perfectly chosen, precisely matched, surprisingly yet familiarly. Each wine opened a new facet of the dish, as if discovering an additional color in an already beautiful painting. It was a collaboration that impressed us. The service was warm in a way that can’t be feigned: attentive, friendly, present—yet never intrusive. You sense that people here work with delight, giving guests a special moment. Every recommendation was spot on, every detail lovingly considered. By the end of our stay, this rare, precious feeling remained: being wholly happy. The Auberge de la Croix‑Blanche didn’t just host us; it touched us—with calm, enjoyment, warmth, and hospitality that echoes long after.

“ne ratez pas cette belle auberge”

The staff and reception were of very high quality. We were there for the Geneva marathon and, after an early start, a spontaneous “picnic” breakfast was prepared for us; the breakfast itself was also very good. The room (we were upgraded) was very comfortable, though it lacked a refrigerator that should arrive soon. The restaurant, Italian, is of very high quality; the owner wonderfully explains the dishes so you can make a wise choice. It was a beautiful surprise for us. As for the weather, we couldn’t enjoy the lovely terrace.
