I landed in the city center, the hotel was quiet and the attic room felt a bit old‑fashioned, but the dinner was nice and the bike was stored well. The staff were very friendly, and I’d come back. Because of a booking mix‑up I only got that attic room; Monsieur apologized and handed me a free beer, which was fine. I hope the other rooms are in better shape.

“Brilliant, family run hotel in great location with excellent restaurant. Would highly recommend”

The location is superb, right in the heart of Saint Jean d’Angely with free parking on the main square opposite the hotel. The family running the place was warm and helpful, taking care of us without any trouble. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. This is a typical French two‑star hotel; if you value authenticity, charm and great atmosphere, this is the spot.

The hotel sits in a central spot with great parking and friendly staff, yet the food left us wanting. Our dinner’s beef was cooked well but a bit stringy, and the 12‑euro breakfast was sparse—just a small cup of juice, a mix of cold meats, and stale bread and pastries. I’d return to stay, but I’d avoid eating there again.
