Atour Hotel Shanghai South Station Shilong Road

I only stayed one night before catching a long‑distance bus, yet it was a pleasant experience. The staff were warm and thoughtful, and the room was excellent. I liked the free laundry room right next to the gym and the late‑night porridge. The location works well for Shanghai South station, the south bus station, and the botanical gardens, but it might not be ideal as a long‑term base for exploring the city.

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The stay was comfortable and the price was reasonable.

The rooms were comfortable, large, with cozy beds, and the location was great—right by the train station and metro. The staff did not speak English at all.

We were looking for a hotel near the university where my son was enrolled, and this one was close to the metro station. The hotel was clean, rooms spacious, and housekeeping was daily. Breakfast was Chinese: omelette, sweet potato, potatoes, bacon, watermelon, tomatoes, bread, and coffee—easy for a European to understand. Even though the hotel is on a road and near a bus station, the rooms were absolutely quiet with excellent soundproofing. We also ate at Wagas nearby. The staff didn’t speak English, but they handled translation well. Everything else was great. The only downside was the breakfast, but we were prepared for that.

The hotel is amzing, comfortable bed, convenient location. Parents with kids love to be in this hotel because of certain benefits like free children beds and free night food from 21:30 to 23:00. There are also a lot of promotion posts on Red Notes about how good to live in this brand with kids. The results were that next to our room, there were more than 8 rooms with mothers and kids. They opened the room doors and shout loudly until 2:00 am every day. They also occupied the washing room every night shouting as well. They usually go out around 12 at noon, two hours before they went out, they opened their doors and talking loudly and shouting for two hours. This made us impossible to rest. We have talked with the adults but the noise were still there. We told this to staff, the staff was really really nice! (The polite staff is the best part of the hotel!) They changed our room, but the new room has kids next door too! You can hear the kids shouting at midnight again! The hotel is amazing but not sure how to solve the kids problem. The isolation isn't good enough because the building was a bit old
