The interior was beautiful, the quiet Groeningestraat location was excellent, and the restaurant was superb; the hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout, making us feel welcome. We were assigned two deluxe rooms: one was perfectly fine and truly luxurious, but the other sat right next to the courtyard restaurant, which was very lively and noisy that summer evening and didn’t offer the quiet we expected. We were offered a quiet studio as a replacement, which fixed the problem, but it made us wonder if the Messeyne Hotel’s deluxe rooms could use better soundproofing.

The central location and super clean rooms were positives, but the gym was poor and the restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday.
