I’m a doctor from Patil, and I finally got to stay at your hotel after my father always praised its authentic Kolhapuri hospitality, food, and comfort. The simplicity and authenticity of the place lived up to his recommendations, and I wish you continued success for decades to come. I couldn’t find any shortcomings.

The location works well and the complimentary breakfast was tasty. However, the reception’s welcome fell short of what we expected; when we arrived, we asked for front‑side rooms and were met with a vague “Okay, I will check,” which felt indifferent. A warmer, more helpful approach at check‑in would have set a better tone. We also found two basic maintenance issues: each of our two rooms had a torn towel, and one TV was broken. It seemed that guests who booked online received less attention than a walk‑in who was offered several room options, which gave the impression that online reservations are treated differently from direct bookings. While we understand room availability can vary, every guest should feel equally valued regardless of how they booked. The hotel has great potential, and these small adjustments—improved reception attentiveness, pre‑check‑in checks of room amenities and linen, and consistent service for all guests—would make future stays much more pleasant.

The location is easy to reach, check‑in was smooth, rooms are spacious, breakfast was decent and tasty, staff were polite, everything was very good. I strongly recommend Hotel Opal.

Last time we had breakfast, but this time we were in a hurry to catch a train, so we packed our luggage before breakfast time. To our surprise the reception staff asked us to have at least a cup of tea. The reception was wonderful.
