I was thrilled by the wonderful staff, the food was excellent and I would definitely return again; everything was amazing 😍 No complaints at all.

The Portuguese restaurant at the overlook in front of the lodge served fantastic food, the setting was very pleasant, and the Portuguese host gave a spectacular show with his stories, though it only opens late in the afternoon. Parking is private, with many spots and a view. The staff are wonderful! However, breakfast was served cold the entire time we stayed, there were no heating elements under the hot food trays, so we had to ask to heat it in a microwave. Also, there were very few options for the prices charged (bread, coffee, milk, two fruits, two juices, cheese, ready, sausage, cassava, egg, and couscous and tapioca made on the spot). The lodge is not in Jacuma; it is 20 minutes by car. The beach is good and very crowded, but at night you have few things to do, except the overlook in front of the lodge, which I highly recommend, especially late afternoon and evening. If you need an Uber, forget it; only motorcycles accept rides. The beds, as they said, are two single beds together and the room was not cleaned on any day, no towel changes, and they never refilled the toilet paper. Another thing that bothered me was that on the day we were leaving, we were the only guests at the lodge, everyone had left the day before (information from the owner), and around 10 am a young couple arrived, they were not allowed into the room and changed clothes in the closet. It’s fine that check‑in is at 2 pm, but the lodge was empty; it wouldn’t have mattered if they were let in earlier and we would have earned some points. I really found it unnecessary. In short, it was very, very, very expensive and there are much better options at fairer prices. Unfortunately we will not return. R.M. In God we Trust!
I booked a specific check‑in time and they completely ignored it, which was frustrating. The coffee they served was awful—cold, missing the usual stuff, and the room only had a single bed that they tried to push together. The view from the window is nice, but I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
