Hôtel De La Couronne is a family-run hotel in Riquewihr's town centre, 14km north of Colmar. The hotel features spacious rooms with en-suite facilities, original oak beams, and medieval furnishings. Everything was great. The hotel staff were generally friendly, and the bar service was excellent and courteous. Unfortunately the rooms varied a lot; we were lucky to get a nice room and bathroom, while our friends had a room in the annex on the second floor that was okay but not as nice as the main building and about the same price. It was nice that some German was spoken in the hotel and we could communicate. The room service and pillows could have been better, and it’s a shame that France doesn’t have larger beds.
