Hotel & Residence Castelli, located in Montecchio Maggiore, offers excellent road links and free parking, with Vicenza just 15 minutes' drive away. The hotel features bright, well-decorated rooms with minibar and LCD TV, on-site restaurant serving local dishes, fitness centre with gym, pool, and sauna, and daily buffet breakfast with gluten-free and organic options, near Altavilla-Tavernelle Train Station.

The location is convenient, close to the fair. The line at the coffee shop during breakfast was long.

Getting off the motorway was easy, with two gas stations nearby and decent parking. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean; it was quiet at night. The single elevator served the whole hotel, and the stairs were awkward, slippery, and winding. Breakfast was a disaster: only toast bread, no butter or even margarine, just one type of cold cut and cheese of poor quality, plus oddly textured pastries made from basic flour. The breakfast staff were rude and aggressive, and the coffee was watery, poured from a jug by an unpleasant employee. We’ve stayed at many hotels, but we’ve never encountered such rude staff or such a terrible breakfast before.
