Roem B&B at the station

We were assigned a different room nearby that was clean, comfortable, and really nice. The host was friendly and caring, and breakfast was simple but good in an Italian style. It’s a perfect spot for a short stay, especially as a stop between the airport and further travel in Italy, though the neighborhood near Napoli Central Station isn’t great. The apartment itself is fine, but the area around it isn’t.

The hotel’s location next to the main station made it easy to catch the bus to the airport. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and they let us stay an extra hour for our afternoon flight. Despite its central spot, it was quiet, and there was a fridge in the room. However, the area around the station is very poor, dirty, and not safe for a woman walking alone at night, so I wouldn’t stay more than one night unless I couldn’t afford a nicer option. The concierge lived in the room next to ours; ours was room 4, his room 3, and he was a heavy smoker. The smell didn’t affect us in our room, but it was strong when we spoke to him and even smelled in the corridor in the morning, though that could have been other guests. Breakfast consisted of various packaged foods; we aren’t big breakfast eaters so it wasn’t a big deal, but if you’re looking for a good breakfast you might be disappointed.
