Mayfield Hotel Seoul

The grounds look nice and the hotel is close to the airport; the highlight was the cat on the bar. The staff were the most unwelcoming we’ve met in Korea, and we couldn’t use the facilities because of our tattoos. Drinks were too sweet for Western tastes, and the staff seemed unsure of the ingredients even with translation apps. We didn’t eat here, so I can’t comment on the food.

“담배냄새, 밤샘 소음, 내돈내산 좁은 방 배정 최악 중의 최악의 오성급 호텔”

“Beautiful hotel grounds and great facilities near the airport, but the rooms are quite dated.”

The hotel sits on a large, beautiful property with plenty of facilities—swimming pool, convenience store, restaurants, and an ATM—especially handy for international travelers. Because the surrounding area lacks many options, having everything on site is a real advantage. The location is also convenient for those needing to be near the airport. The staff were excellent—friendly and helpful—and the concierge arranged a taxi for us. Overall, the service matched what you’d expect from a five‑star hotel. The rooms, however, feel old and tired and clearly need renovation; for a five‑star property, the room condition and design fall short of the rest of the site.

“Super hotel”

Krásný hotel v samostatném areálu. Velké pokoje a zajímavě řešená koupelna. Ochotný personál. Zvláštní jsou nízké stropy na chodbách. Slabší znalost angličtiny

“호캉스 천국”

I ordered breakfast separately and found plenty of tasty options; the place was clean, the view was good, and the walking paths were well maintained. The room condition was also good, and the staff were all friendly. The location of the accommodation was a bit disappointing, but a taxi from the nearby station gets you there, and there’s a shuttle after check‑out. Those driving their own car would probably have no trouble.
