The building is a stunning old structure and the location is gorgeous, but everything feels dated, the wiring is exposed and unreliable, the pool water is cloudy, and the front‑desk staff are below expectations for the price; for comparison, the Imperial Hotel in Delhi is much better kept and maintained.

“The four stay my wife & I made at Lake Palace Hotel was t celebrate our 64th wedding anniversary”

We adored every minute of our stay, especially the arrival when we were greeted with royal umbrellas, showers of rose petals, and a September 1 morning celebration on the terrace featuring the hotel’s state and a massive 64th wedding anniversary cake for us to cut together; the only issue was that during the cultural show the musicians received no lighting while all the lights focused on the dancers, which should be fixed.

Breakfast is outstanding, the staff are wonderful and caring, and the location is great, yet the Rajasthani thali and Laal Maas were shockingly overpriced.
