The place was great, the staff were helpful and friendly, there’s a kitchen you can use, everything was liked, it’s not my first time there, and I’ll definitely come back :)

“Really nice guesthouse with amazing staff!”

After a rough border crossing from South Africa, we were relieved to finally reach the guesthouse. Miguel had already messaged us on WhatsApp a few times and gave us a warm welcome, which was especially comforting after the stressful drive in the dark through Mozambique. We parked our car safely behind the fence, and because we arrived late and most restaurants were closing, he offered to handle the paperwork the next morning and immediately showed us the room and the guesthouse. The room was perfect, with great air‑conditioning and Wi‑Fi, and there was a small pool and a kitchen available for use. Miguel also sent us several nearby restaurant suggestions, and we ended up eating amazing food there. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and Miguel’s kindness and attentive care really made a difference. He let us know we could text him during our stay if needed. Two weeks later, we returned for another night and were happy to be back. Miguel wasn’t there, but his colleague gave us another excellent restaurant recommendation—one of the best in Maputo, probably with a great view over the bridge—making for a perfect way to finish our time in Mozambique. There’s also a Spar supermarket and an ATM nearby if required. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse!

“Lovely haven in Maputo”

A charming little hideaway in Maputo featuring a lovely pool and courtyard to unwind. The staff were extremely helpful, arranging transfers and offering restaurant recommendations. The room was a bit basic, but it had everything I needed.

“Un buon posto dove stare a Maputo e dove prevedo di tornare a stare”

First of all, the décor—especially in the common areas—and the location (between two city “poles”—Sommershield and Polana, near FEMA and many restaurants, not far from the sea); then the presence of a pool and a garden and the organization of the room. They’re not essential, but having hot water and a luggage support structure would improve the experience.
